St. Gianna’s Place is overjoyed to receive dozens of beautiful blankets handmade by 6th graders at Sacred Heart School in Bradford, Massachusetts. As part of their community service project, the students, with the assistance of their teachers Connie Golden and Tricia Bamford, and the approval of their principal, Kathy Blain, undertook the task of creating beautiful blankets for pregnant mothers in need and their precious babies. To fundraise, the students hosted a dress down day and with the payment of $2, the students were given the privilege of dressing down. These funds contributed towards the purchase of the fabric. The school provided to the students pre-cut blankets where they worked in pairs to create their masterpieces! The blankets show the time, dedication, and love of the students. We value and greatly appreciate the community involvement and support from Sacred Heart School, and greatly thank the students, faculty and staff at Sacred Heart School for their support!
