Blog Post – January Activities that Celebrate Life

Happy New Year! The month of January is not only the beginning of a new year, it’s also a great time to celebrate and stand up for LIFE.  There are personal, local, and national activities that spotlight the pro-life point of view, and this blog will list a few that you and your families can participate in.

NH March for Life:  This takes place in Concord, NH on January 11.  Maria Girtatos is the guest speaker who will take the mic at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Parish, St. John’s Church.  However, the day is jam-packed with other events, beginning at 9:00 AM. Visit https://nhrtl.org/mfl2020/for the complete schedule.

National March for Life:  This 3-day celebration of life begins in Washington, DC on January 22 and culminates on January 24 with a concert, rally, march, and dinner.  This year’s theme is Life Empowers:  Pro-Life is Pro-Woman.  Visit https://marchforlife.org/national-march-for-life/for the full schedule and travel information.

Pray the Rosary, Fast, or Do Good Works:  If you would like to support life on a personal or family level, suggestions are to pray the Rosary, fast in support of those attending Right to Life events, or do good works.  Designate a period of time when you pray a decade of the Rosary daily, give up a favorite food, or do a special service for someone in need and offer it up for life.

Contact Your Church:  Many churches sponsor pro-life events during the month of January.  Adoration, the Rosary, Benediction, and novenas are often offered.  These are great, faith-filled activities for the whole family.
